COMPANY BACKGROUND

​

RealRaw Hair was launched by Todd Christopher, the founder of OGX Hair Care. After selling OGX, he began working on a new product for women which provides not a shampoo, but a "Shampoothie". This name was given because it's made with all natural ingredients which are then cold-pressed to retain nutritional potency.  It uses coconut water instead of chemically treated tap water (like most shampoos). It also uses yogurt, cold pressed oils and proteins to benefit the hair follicle.  Similar to a vitamin-packed "smoothie" for your hair; it's so fresh, you could technically eat it! (Although not recommended.)

MY MISSION

 

With their branding, promo videos and product photography already created, RealRaw Haircare needed a website which could provide eCommerce capacity, and introduce this new hair care line; as it would be soon launched in retail locations such as Walgreens and Target. 

RealRaw Hair Care wanted to portray a modern, upscale brand which emphasized their production process and all natural ingredients. The website tells the story of what goes inside each bottle and why they are the healthier, smarter option when compared to traditional commercial shampoos.

1) starts with 100% pure aloe juice and coconut water. [NO water added]
2) yogurt infused creamy [sulfate free] surfactant.
3) cold pressed natural ingredients. cold blended for nutrient rich assurance.

DESIGN PROCESS

1. PLANNING

​

 RealRaw Hair Care would be launching soon in retail stores such as Walgreens and Target. They already finalized their brand, label and manufacturing. RealRaw Hair Care wanted to have a website which could introduce their unique approach,  process and products. They wanted to teach people about the methods currently used in commercial shampoos ; and why they should switch to a natural option with more benefits.  

2. DESIGN

I created a website which explained the origins and mission of RealRaw Hair Care. I portrayed their mission using a modern and energetic site design. I then created an eCommerce layout for the company, in which visitors could learn about RealRaw Hair products, read reviews and leave comments. 

3. LAUNCH

Once the eCommerce site was finalized, I completed the site layout for visitors on mobile devices. Visitors can even join the RealRaw online community and share their own experiences. The RealRaw Hair Care website is linked directly to the Target and Walgreens websites to ensure visitors can find availability in their local stores. It integrates with their social media page.
